A life cut short, Richard was a beautiful young man,
who cared about everyone and everything.
We see your smiling eyes,
Each morning when we wake,
We talk to you, and place a kiss,
Upon your lovely face.
How much we miss you being here,
We really can not say,
The ache is deep inside each heart,
And never goes away.
We hear it mentioned often,
That time will heal the pain,
But if we're being honest,
We feel it will remain.
Dad needs to feel you constantly,
To get him through the day,
We all loved you so very much,
Why did you go away?
